Durbar Square, Kathmandu

This morning at sunrise, we walked through the old city to a place called Durbar Square. This is really old and was where the king lived. Now there is a young girl who lives in the palace without her family – she is called the Kumari. People think she is very special, and hold festivals for her. When she gets older, another young girl is chosen to take her place.
